The Piatt County Fair is set for June 12-15. You will find
much of the same schedule as in the past. Our biggest event is ITPA tractor
pull on Saturday night (6:30 p.m.)! Come out and see some great pulling
that night! We also will have a Tot Rod pull that afternoon. Kids can register
at the event—watch for more information on that.
We will have a Fireworks display on Friday night! The
Village of Cerro Gordo is again sponsoring our fireworks show, starting around
9:30.
Kids may bring their entries for non-livestock exhibits on Wednesday
evening, June 11 between 5:00 and 6:00. After all exhibits are in place,
Floriculture judging will take place.
Thursday morning, all the other non-livestock exhibits will
be judged. Thursday evening is when the Dairy cattle come in. NEW this year is a
Name That Tune Music Raffle—tickets need to be purchased in advance—and Rockin’
Randy will be DJing in the Beer Barn.
Friday morning is the Dairy Cattle show, starting by 9:00. Swine
may come in Friday evening. Also in the evening, 25/8 Xtreme inflatables will
be set up for all to enjoy. Purchase a wristband for all evening fun. Silver
Lake will perform in the Beer Barn at 8:00. Then, after it’s good and dark, the
fireworks display will happen.
Saturday morning will be the Swine show at 9:00. 25/8 Xtreme
will be back, ready for all who wish to participate. Again, a wristband gets
you fun for the evening. The Tot Rod pull will happen sometime that afternoon,
before the big event, our ITPA pull at 6:30. The Cerro Gordo American Legion
will have a flag ceremony at our flag pole in honor of Flad Day. For later
evening entertainment, Kalen MXRCUS will be playing in the Beer Barn. Beef
cattle may come in on Saturday evening.
Sunday morning at 9:00 is the Beef Cattle show. Our last big
event is the Piatt County Outlaw Hookers Antique Tractor Pull at 11:00. If you
like antique tractors, this will be the show for you. There is no charge to
watch.
Our food vendors will be back and eager for your business.
It takes many volunteers to put on our Fair—we have no paid
workers—and we work hard to make this fair a success. Visit our website at www.piattcountyfair.blogspot.com
