Successful Fair in the Books

The 2021 Piatt County Fair is over (except for lots of clean up and book work!!!)!

The only damper on our Fair was the storm early Saturday morning which resulted in the cancellation of our Antique Tractor Pull. A lot of disappointed people couldn't participate in that event which happens to be much looked forward to by participants and their families. It is a family day for them. 😍

Thanks for the hard work of all our volunteers--did you know that we are ALL volunteers? We have no paid staff-- for our sponsors, and for all who came to the Fair!

There is a Craft and Flea Market planned for the first weekend in October here at the fairgrounds. Put it on your calendar and watch for information!

See you at the 2022 Piatt County Fair!

Saturday at the Fair

The Cerro Gordo Preschool Kickball Tournament is underway, and they are really having fun out there. It's too bad there aren't more teams. Let's have a bunch more next year!!

The Capitol City Cornhole bags tournament is underway as well, moved into one of the buildings because of wet grass.

The beer barn and Bishops food concessions is open for business.

The Swine show has been underway and has been a great success. We have room for more pigs, so all you pig owners out there, bring your pigs to show in 2022!

Tonight we have Eric Burgett in the Beer Barn at 9:00. Families can watch in their own viewing area while those over 21 can watch in the Beer Barn.

Nonlivestock exhibits are released this afternoon between 1 and 3. Be sure the kids pick up their checks at the same time.

See you at the Fair!

Friday at the Fair

The Dairy cattle will be judged this morning, starting at 10:00.

The non-livestock general exhibits will also be judged, starting at 9:00.

Come check out our new food vendor, Bluegrass BBQ, for lunch! Take it from me, the food is fantastic! They are both Cordon Bleu trained chefs and know their business!

COVID-19 vaccine clinic today from 4:00 - 10:00 p.m. on the south side the office. This is the J&J, the "one and done" shot, and it's FREE, so take advantage of this walk-in opportunity if you don't have your vaccine yet.

Enjoy the ITPA tractor pull at 6:30 tonight and then Antics in the Beer Barn after that.

Entry for the pull: $15 for 13 yr and up, $5 for 6 to 12 yrs, free for 5 yrs and under.

Pit parking is $20 per vehicle and $15 per cooler. No coolers are allowed in the grandstands.
